Well, I finished Chart D of my latest KAL just a little while ago. Then I wet it down good and finger blocked it for a picture, set a fan on it and now I am working on the last knitting chart of the shawl. I am trying to use up most of the skein of yarn without running out. Made a few changes from the 1st one I made of it. Like I forgot 1 repeat of Chart A, I believe it was. So I made an extra repeat of Chart B. Now on Chart D, the designer said she stopped on row 154, while I went on to row 164 for the complete chart. But I put in a life line on row 154 in case I run out of yarn & need to go back so that I have enough for Chart E and the bind off. I really hope I have enough yarn to do the crocheted bind off again. I love the way the points zig zag along the edge!
So I have 14 rows to knit before I am ready to try the bind off. I think I may put in another life line about 2 rows from the end so that if I have to go back to start the bind off again and I don't want to go all the way back to row 154 to start again, then I only chance losing 2 rows of knitting while backing up to do a normal stretchy bind off.
Right now, as I write this, it is thundering outside and my male pom - Fred, is sitting beside my feet! In fact, his chin is on my foot. He hates storms - if he is indoors, but doesn't really mind them if he is outside. So I think it is because he can't see what is happening when he is inside.
Have fun & Happy Crafting until the next time!

The shawl is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I finished it yesterday while watching my 12 year old granddaughter's tennis tournament. Not going to get a chance to block it until tomorrow, so will probably be Monday or Tuesday before I have pictures of the finished project.
