It just seems like I have vanished!
It's been one of those times where I just feel like I have nothing to say, nothing going on except the grandkids ball games & such. Kind of have felt like I was meeting myself coming & going. Just going to the gym 1 evening a week for the last nearly 2 months because of 3-4 games a week between the 3 grandkids.
We finally got the AC in at work. No thermostat yet, but it is definitely working! Almost to the point of cold!
D keeps saying that he thinks Morton's is likely to close, so he is working all the overtime he can possibly talk someone into giving to him. I am not sure he has truly taken a day off totally from work in several weeks now. I know he just worked both of his days off this week & today started on a new 6 days of his regular schedule. I told him I just don't think it is healthy to be working that much especially when you factor in his age now - 58.
E & E still keep me puzzled as to what their relationship is! It seems that 1 day they are both telling me that they are completely finished with the other & then the next, I am getting text messages asking if it is all right to bring her to the family gathering at our place. I just wish they would decide to be together or to be apart! I just can't personally see how it could ever work out if there is this much together & apart going on!
Good news seems to be that D & J have gotten engaged! That happened last Friday after I sent them off to a dinner/concert thing that I had ended up with 2 tickets to. She evidently thought he & I had cooked it all up together, but I got the tickets Thursday evening & they went out Friday evening with them & it seems that he spent his lunch break Friday buying a ring.
It kind of sounds like it could be about a year before the wedding though. He mentioned 10/10/2010 as a wedding date - but that one definitely isn't going to happen since her 1st wedding date was 10/10/98. I mentioned that if they wanted it to go like that, 9/9/09 was coming up. But was told that was too soon.
Well, going to cut this short, but since I had already been trying to think of something to write & then A told me that I seemed to have given up on it, I thought I would write something. Maybe my brain will work better here after a bit to write something more or maybe, I will just post some pictures here that I have been posting on Facebook. I have been going through old pictures & scanning 1 each morning to post as my profile picture of the day. It gets them all scanned eventually as well as spicing up my FB page a bit.

He says the company was bought by another company & that they now have such high requirements on the salt that they keep sending most of what is produced back into the ground (they do evaporation here, not mining) and so he doesn't see how they can continue this. -
